If a realistic price was charged for updates, I and many other users might purchase it. The cost of updates is more than buying a TomTom with free updates for life. The pricing policy can only be described as profiteering as it completely ignores the true cost of the update . I rather suspect if the subscription was say £25 a year the income generated would be far greater than it is now. This issue is definitely a black mark against me buying another Renault/Dacia next time around. Brand loyalty works both ways and trying to blatantly rip customers off is patently such a mark.
